About Duesers and Brains

Another day out and the day for my first TIFF film this year. And it was wet, in the morning it was more like light drizzle but it rained on and off, more or less all day. I met up with Jackie at Sherbourne Subway platform and we went up to Yorkdale to meet with Sonja. Walking around the mall, having lunch and just spending time together. It's so nice to have friends that drag you out in the city to different places.

As so many days before, sculptures, displays and other things catch my eye. And sometimes you have to look up and see what's in the ceiling.

This was a cool project. To collect/raise money towards research for healthy brains some artist had gotten to make these brains. Some were already sold and some still for sale, its a winwin situation, give money to something needed and get a nice sculpture.

Because of the rain it was possible to see the colours of the Toronto sign when I walked past it. Realized since I didn't have any wifi on the stop I got off on that I should have done Dundas, well lesson learned.

After finding myself a rainponcho at Canadian Tire(no it's not a tire-shop) as they didn't have in the sport's shop or even in the souvenir ones I headed out to stand in line for Clara. Nice people to talk to so the time before we were let in(a soon as they could due to the weather). The movie was good, made you think that maybe there's something or someone out there in space, not in a sci-fi way though. The stars of the film were Patrick J. Adams(Suits) and Troian Bellisario(Pretty Little Liars) and a "big" supporting role by Ennis Esmer(Private Eyes). Patrick and Ennis were at the screening and had a Q&A along with the writer and director and a couple of others. In the audience was Sarah Rafferty(Donna on Suits) and Gabriel Macht(Harvey on Suits), they are on the blurry pics(too dark for the phone in the room)
