High Park and their zoo 250908
So, I sat down on 506(streetcar) and rode for almost 50 minutes to arrive at High Park. I ended up in the paths and trails of the Dogs Off Leash area, but all dogs were well behaved and some dogwalkers in pairs made it look like something out of "Lady and the Tramp" as there were so many breeds, big and small in sizes. No, I didn't take any photos of the dogs. The area was nice enough to walk around. Don't be fooled of the fallen leaf I took a photo of, it's actually an oak leaf but in this angle it looked like a maple leaf that's why I took the photo.
I did eventually end up at the café that was open and then I finally found the way to the zoo. It's not big, there will apparently be added a few more animals, but as it's free it's nice to go there for a bit with kids I bet. It's not easy to take photos when there's fences.
What I thought was lacking was more set trails and signs pointing out the ways, there were maps but not the best.

In the evening me, Erica, Mariellen and Judy went to Stout for something to eat and to do the Trivia, but that wasn't easy, I think we got 37.5 points(100 was the total) and the winning team had 74. But it's wasn't winning that was the goal, it was meeting with friends and having a nice time.

Travelling to Toronto again and the first day here - entry for 250902/03
So, I'm back in Toronto, love the city and love meeting up with my Canadian friends. As always I'm going to share some photos here with you and for the first day it's mainly classical photos of travelling and Cabbagetown, where they have spruced things up a bit with fresh plantpots(at least freshly painted) and green stickers(I think) on lampposts. There was also a new feature at the airport with it's name YYZ, maybe when I leave I'll take a selfie at it.
So the next day I went downtown as I was going to meet up with Sonja, TIFF is happening as usual celebrating it's 50th Anniversary so the area there was bustling with preperations.
St. Andrews church was open and there's a museum in the cellar for the 48th Highlanders. Old uniforms, parade uniforms, new uniforms, pipes and drums and a lot of other stuff. Also just before I went there I was lucky they flew with the airshow and when I posted about that on Instagram a friend of mine said "Oh, so that was what I heard around lunchtime".
As I upload the photos you'll also see the stone at Canada's Walk of Fame of Graham Greene, felt approriate to visit it as he passed away just the other day.
So this was it for these two days, more to come so look out for new entries.
